The adapter side of the range mates a listed engine onto a listed gearbox. The pairings currently listed include:

GM LS — to Jaguar ZF 8HP 8HP70, and an adapter kit for the Jaguar diesel 8HP70.
Toyota JZ (1JZ / 2JZ) — to BMW ZF 8HP 50 / 51 / 70 / 75, to Jaguar Land Rover 8HP on the 6-bolt pattern, and to Getrag DCT.
Honda K20 / K24 — to BMW ZF 8HP 50 / 51 / 70 / 75, plus DCT and manual BMW gearbox plates.
BMW M57N / M57N2 — to ZF 8HP70 / 8HP50.
Volvo White T5 / T6 — to ZF 8HP75 / 8HP70 / 8HP50.

Shifters and shifter adapters

PMC lists a motorsport shifter in silver or black, a Black Edition shifter in long, medium and short, and shifter adapters for BMW E30, E36, E46 and E90–E93 plus Nissan S13, S14 and S15. These are chassis-mounting parts, so confirm the adapter matches your body before ordering.

Wiring and cooling

What to confirm before ordering

The exact engine code, not just the engine family.
The exact gearbox model and generation. Quote the model from the listing you are comparing rather than assuming two 8HP variants share a bellhousing or converter interface.
The chassis, where the part is a shifter adapter or mount.
Whether your build keeps the factory converter, since the converter decision changes what else you need.

Is a PMC adapter kit the whole engine swap?

No. An adapter kit is the engine-to-gearbox interface. The controller and harness, cooling, driveline, mounts and the gearbox itself are separate decisions, and several of them are listed in this collection rather than bundled with the adapter.

How do I know which PMC kit suits my engine?

Use the engine code, not the engine family. The listings are named by the pairing they cover — for example a JZ to BMW ZF 8HP kit, or a K20 / K24 to BMW ZF 8HP kit — so find the listing that names both your engine and your gearbox, then confirm the details before ordering.

Does PMC make parts for DCT and manual gearboxes as well as 8HP?

Yes. Alongside the ZF 8HP pairings, this collection includes adapters and plates for Getrag DCT / DKG gearboxes and for BMW ZF5 and Getrag manual gearboxes. Read the individual listing, because the gearbox named on it is the one it is made for.

Do I still need a controller if I buy a PMC adapter kit?

Yes. The adapter is mechanical. The transmission still needs a controller and harness to run, which is why the TCU controllers and harnesses collection sits alongside this one.

Will a PMC shifter adapter fit my car?

The shifter adapters are listed for individual chassis — BMW E30, E36, E46 and E90–E93, and Nissan S13, S14 and S15. Match the adapter to the body you have rather than to the gearbox.

What should I send for a parts check?
